What is Proposition 65?

Proposition 65, officially known as the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986, is a law in the State of California that requires businesses to provide warnings to consumers if their products contain certain chemicals known to cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm.

This law applies to all businesses selling products to California residents, including online retailers.

Why the Warning on Our Site?

Some of the products sold on LuvPleasure.com may contain materials or components — including plastics, silicone, adhesives, or packaging elements — that include chemicals listed under Proposition 65.

These may include, but are not limited to:

  • Phthalates (e.g., DEHP, DBP)

  • BPA

  • Certain synthetic fragrances or dyes

  • Materials found in cords, electronics, and packaging

While many of these materials are safe when used as directed, Proposition 65 requires that we notify our customers in California out of an abundance of caution.

Who Does This Warning Apply To?

This notice applies to all customers who reside in or receive shipments in the State of California.

If you’re outside of California, this law does not apply to your purchase — but we still want to be transparent with all our customers.
